Advisory Board
By resolution of the Board of Directors on 6 May 2020, the external Advisory Board of SIT was established, with the aim of providing strategic advice on an ongoing basis to the Board of Directors, in line with the best practices established among primary listed companies standing and in even diversified sectors, the Advisory Board, as advisory committee, is composed by experts and exponents of the industrial world, with significant experience and professionalism in the reference market, in the strategic consultancy sector or in any case established managers with visibility and reputation at national and international level, called to support the Board of the Company, providing consultancy, vision and specialist knowledge. The members of the Advisory Board remain in office until their mandate is revoked.
Michael Calovini graduated in 1983 in Electrical engineer from Fachhochschule in Dortmund.
He started his professional experience at Rössel-Messtechnik GmbH as Sales engineer and key-account-manager for temperature measurement for industrial applications.
From 1985 his experience as Sales Engineer continued at VAG-Armaturen GmbH, where he was also product manager and area sales manager for products and systems for handling industrial gas for high pressure applications.
Between 1992 and 2006 he had several roles at G. Kromschröder AG, first as Branch office leader in Düsseldorf, then as Head of department sales, marketing and system solutions and finally as member of the Board and Responsible for sales and marketing for three business units.
Between 2006 and 2012 he was Managing Director, Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing BU Gas of Elster Kromschröder GmbH and of Elster Instromet GmbH.
After that, until 2015, he was Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer of Elster GmbH, where he was also responsible of five business units worldwide.
After signing a separation agreement with Elster GmbH, in 2017 he founded „Calovini Consulting “.
Antonio Campo dall’Orto graduated in Economics and Business at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 1988 and improved his studies by obtaining a Master in Marketing and Communication at the University of Milan. Active for over 25 years in the “media” sector, he was professor of Competitive Analysis and Marketing at the Academy of Communication in Milan. Today he invests and provides support to companies in the process of growth and development, primarily in the “media” sector, focusing his attention on digital transformation. He was deputy director of Canale 5 from 1992 to 1996, General Manager of the MTV Italia channel from 1997 to 1999, Chief Executive Officer of Viacom International Media Networks between 1999 and 2013, as well as General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia Media between 2003 and 2008. From 2008 to 2013 he held the role of SVP, Music Brands for Viacom International, leading and managing the MTV brand in more than 100 countries worldwide. From 2014 to 2015 he was part of the Board of Directors of Poste Italiane S.p.a., at the time of the Company’s listing on the stock exchange, and from 2015 to 2017 he was General Manager of RAI – the Italian public radio and television, with the aim of transforming the Italian public television service into a Contemporary Media Company. We owe to Campo Dall’Orto the idea of RaiPlay, the most popular video distribution service in our country nowadays.
Antonio Volpin graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Padua in 1989. He continued his education in Milan with an MBA at Bocconi University. In 1993 Antonio began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he is currently Senior Partner, a leader in the “Electric Power & Natural Gas Practice” field in the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. From 2008 to 2015 he was leader of the same sector in the Europe, Middle East and Africa area, based in London. His areas of expertise are growth strategies, large-scale operational performance improvement programs and optimal allocation of investments in capital-intensive sectors. He provided consultancy services to some of the world’s leaders companies, as well as to governments and regulatory bodies. Throughout his career Antonio has produced numerous essays concerning the energy field, in particular renewable energy. Antonio Volpin is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Jera, a company operating in the energy and gas sectors, based in Tokyo.
